The Buckeye Christian Collaborative is addressing the shortage of skilled workers in the building trades in the Buckeye Community. The shortage of skilled workers in the building trades has necessitated people in the industry to fill skilled labor shortages by recruiting workers from out-of-state.
The BCC is establishing a pilot vocational training program to address the shortage. The pilot program will:
(a) explore skill shortages
(b) explore potential partnerships with industry employers
(c) explore potential placement opportunities
(d) explore available teaching resources
(e) survey successful training models
(f) recruit students for a pilot program
Requirements:
Age 18 plus and high school/GED diploma
Able to do physical work
City of Cleveland resident
Math and reading assessment
